Randal Nardone is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he earned bachelor of arts degrees in both biology and English. He also attended the Boston University School of Law where he earned his law degree. Once he graduated from this law school he started working for a New York City law firm, Thacher Proffitt & Wood. He made partner at this firm before moving into the financial industry at BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. as a principal. He worked at this investment firm up through 1998 when he decided to co-found his own company in the industry.
In early 2018 Fortress Investment Group was acquired by SoftBank, the giant South Korean bank. Due to his expertise in the financial industry Randal Nardone was asked by the executives of SoftBank to continue in his positions as CEO and principal which he accepted. Among his skills are managing people, streamlining operations, financial analysis, investment banking, investment management, and financial services.
